I think November may be my least favourite month of the year. I made the most of these past 30 days with handlettering practice, Christmas crafts and some good ol’ fashioned archery at Casa Loma. The archery class was pretty interesting especially because the instructor, Shawn Adams, was extremely knowledgable. Definitely worth checking out.
Today’s song selection is by Seryn. They are a six piece band from Texas who play with a folk sound. Their debut album “This is Where We Are” was released back in January of 2011. They are currently in studio working on new music and Ivory Black is their latest release. I’m in love with these harmonies.

October was a rather creative month. The extended warm weather had me inspired to start working on some abstract paintings for a friend and I finally started my Skillshare calligraphy class (more details and show ‘n’ tell to follow). My creative juices also flowed into the kitchen where I baked some new recipes that included Vegan Pumpkin Tarts and super delicious Ginger Cookies. I was also invited to a Halloween party which inspired costume creativity and kick-ass pumpkins. Let’s hope November and the holiday season keeps me going.
Hope everyone’s Halloween was safe and successful. We didn’t have many kids in our neighbourhood come around but it was still fun prepping for tonight. Next year pumpkins will definitely be carved a few days in advance. What’s your favourite goodie to get? Nerds and bubble gum are tops on my list.
